Most office jobs have you sitting in a cubicle behind a computer all day unseen by the outside world, unless it's a job that has customers coming in.
I don't think the milineals understand that people over 50 still have bills, mortgages, need food and gas for their vehicle just as they do. If a 30 year old would like to support me and pay my bills, I'll gladly retire! Also, if you are on LinkedIn you cannot leave dates off your prior jobs so employers can look there. I agree age discrimination exists! No one cares about your experience! Experience should be a good thing but not if you are 40 or older!
I don't understand why working from home positions should be challenging to obtain if working from a home office. No one sees the wrinkles which make most HR personnel uncomfortable. The saving grace is everyone ages! Hiring managers will someday find they are now the older generation; it will happen! So, it may be me today but time evens the playing field. Youth is temporal and fades. I have learned to feel good in knowing these people who discriminate against Seniors will understand what it feels like to experience, something none of us have control over!
